Two shifts a day, morning and afternoon. The Forest Department moves them through the year with sunrise and sunset.
Reach the boarding point 30 to 45 minutes early for ID checks, guide allocation and boarding. Late arrivals may not be allowed in.

As the day cools, animals gather around water and trails. Warm evening light suits landscapes and silhouettes.
Core zones are open from October to June. October to March is cool and pleasant. April to June is hot, but animals gather at water, which can mean more sightings.
